Huss & Dalton 25th Anniversary D-45 1 of 8

To celebrate their 25 year milestone handcrafting fine guitars, Huss & Dalton introduces the “Vine” custom Limited Edition. This TD-R 45 style dreadnought is #1 of only 8 master builds being made. Premium build with Master grade tonewoods and custom pearl inlays, this is a true collector’s guitar.

The back and sides are master grade Brazilian Rosewood from the the personal collection of Walter Lipton, founder of Euphonon Co., a premium tonewood luthier supply and guitar making business in New Hampshire. The top is premium thermo-cured (torrefied) Adirondack Spruce, and matches perfectly with the Brazilian Rosewood. This is widely considered to the holy grail of tonewood combination.

Colorful Paua Pearl 45 style purflings trim every edge, from the top, back, sides, rosette, around the heel and wedge, and even the backstrip. Custom made White Pearl and Abalone “Floral Grace Vine” inlays adorn the fretboard, headstock and bridge with “25” inlaid at the 12th fret.

Full figured Hawaiian Koa bindings wrap the tonewoods and Pearl artistically together in premium design. Adirondack Spruce bracing with Hot Hide Glue, Ebony fretboard, bridge and overlay, Gold Waverly tuners with engraved butterbean knobs, bone pins and gold frets wrap up the stunning 25th Anniversary model.

About the Lipton Brazilian Rosewood:
Walter Lipton collected premium, master grade sets of rare tonewoods since the early 70’s. Walter closed his doors at Euphonon Co. and sold off his barn full of wood a few years back, but in June 2019 Walter reached out to offer this set of his personal Brazilian Rosewood collection to Huss & Dalton. After working with Walter for years, Jeff Huss & Mark Dalton were thrilled to use this wood on the very special 25th Anniversary Limited Edition. Walter’s words about this wood were” These are from my personal stock, and have been seasoning in my loft for about 40 years. Very hard and dense, with glasslike tap-tone. The wood is very stable and lies nice and flat. This wood is gorgeous.”
